10 Ways to Impress Your Friends With Oversized Shirts

Comfort is the new fashion -- really.

With the sun's blazing heat making us sweat, there's nothing more comfortable than donning on some baggy shirts that are a few sizes larger than our normal ones. But, actually going out in these baggy shirts, how genius is the person who first started this trend? Here are ten ways to style your oversized shirts.

1. Plain dress

If your shirt reaches a decent height right above your knees, then just wear it as a dress. Although, you have to make sure to wear some shorts underneath to avoid those embarrassing wardrobe malfunctions.

2. Under a dress or jumper skirt

Worried that the really cute dress you just bought last week shows too much skin? Then wear a baggy shirt underneath it. Something that matches the color scheme of the dress would do, but a white or black shirt usually does the trick.

3. Over long-sleeved, tight-fitted tops

When in doubt, go for layers. If you're on a trip to a colder place, like Baguio for example, you can choose to go warmer by wearing a baggy shirt over a long-sleeved crew-neck. This gives more silhouette to your figure and opportunities to eat more without obviously showing a bulging stomach.

4. Pair with leggings or biker shorts

Are you planning to work out or maybe go to a dance session? Then, you can opt to pair a baggy shirt with leggings. This way, you won't have to worry about those camel toe slip-ups. You can also choose to tie a jacket on your waist for a messy-but-sexy look.

5. Tuck in with high-waisted pants

Short girls, we all have these in our wardrobes. If you're running out of tops to pair with your high-waisted jeans, high-waisted shorts, and high-waisted skirts, then just tuck in a baggy shirt and you're the definition of casual vibes! You can tuck all of it in, or maybe tuck the front and let the back loose - it's all up to you!

6. Tie the end into a knot

Another style that you would find yourself using a lot of times is tying your long baggy t-shirt into a knot. Got one of your hair ties with you? Gather the bottom of your shirt from your waist and just tie them sideways. If you don't have a hair tie, you can just twist it a bit and you're done.

7. Off-shoulder

Wearing a baggy shirt also means that your neck hole is big enough to have it dangling on one of your shoulders. So, if you're finding your shirt-and-jeans outfit a little too plain, then show one of your shoulders for a more sexy look.

8. Fold up the sleeves

Wear those extra-large shirts in any way you want and folding up the sleeves is just another way! A couple of folds should do the trick, but you can always add more to get that messy look and 'I didn't put much thought to my outfit', which in this case is pretty true.

9. Wear it with overalls.

Nope, you don't need to worry about your overalls gathering dust from being neglected, because they're pretty stylish when paired with the right top, aka your oversized shirts. Most overalls are more on the fitting or skinny side nowadays, and you'd want to balance it out with a loose top, and your oversized shirts are the most perfect candidates.

10. Wear it with bold patterns.

While bold patterns are definitely eye-catching, wearing too many clashes of mixed cheetah and tiger prints can be quite sore to the eyes. Tone this down by wearing a simple plain tee with minimal designs.

These are just 10 of the possible hundreds of ways to style your shirts. Remember, fashion is more about giving you the boost of confidence you need rather than pleasing everybody!
