Android tablets are no longer mere gadgets. These days, they are considered an essential item especially among students who use the devices for distance learning. Aside from its multimedia features, an Android tablet is a great companion to have in homes as current models can handle most tasks that desktops and laptops are capable of.
Although options of Android tablets are not as varied as those of a smartphone, Android tablets currently available in the market are very straight-forward in terms of specs and features. This means that unlike smartphones, there's not much of a hassle involved when choosing your tablet.
Based simply on pricing, users can roughly guess the performance level expected from a given Android tablet; no "flagship-killers" as seen in the Android smartphone segment exist among Android tablets. Current Android tablets sold locally can be classified into three categories: entry-levels priced under PHP 10K, mid-range ones available under PHP 20K, and flagship-levels with a cost of over PHP 20K.
Today, we have compiled the best Android tablets available in the Philippines. On our list are models that can handle both your daily needs and distance learning alike.

Conclusion
The rivalry between Android tablets and Apple's iPad series doesn't appear to be ending anytime soon. Both sides have a fair share of advantages and disadvantages against each other. Probably the only thing that sets them apart is the user's preference in which ecosystem they'd rather use.
With the sudden rise in demand for personal computers during the pandemic, many consumers switched to buying tablets over a laptop due to the difference in the price range. Currently, a decent laptop aimed for web browsing, documentation, and web conferences would cost you around PHP 20K-30K, whereas you can get a decent Android tablet at under PHP 20K that can handle the same tasks.
Android tablets have been getting more powerful with every release. But compared to laptops, you'll need to purchase a separate keyboard and mouse to maximize productivity. In addition, laptops still have more advantages in terms of performance, allowing them to be superior in gaming or graphics-related (such as Photoshop or video-editing) tasks.
Regardless, though a wide margin remaining between the features and capabilities of laptops and tablets, the gap is getting smaller. Newer tablets are getting more powerful too: the more advanced the processor is, the more it enables the user to handle multiple tasks while offering complex functions. The bigger batteries are also making tablets last longer than most laptops. The day where laptops will be replaced by tablets may be sooner than we think.
