New realme C20 Arrives with 5,000mAh Battery and Helio G35 for a Very Affordable Price

realme's dominance in the budget-friendly race has just been taken up a notch as it has released the realme C20.

Dubbed as the Chinese smartphone maker's latest ultra-affordable entry in the segment, the phone has all the trappings of a device that will be on the shelves for years.

In the Philippines, the C series is currently comprised of the realme C3, realme C11, realme C12, and realme C15.

Unveiled in the Vietnamese market, the realme C20 is built on a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with an HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch, which houses a 5MP selfie shooter. The handset's screen also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

On its rear, realme opted for a conventional camera setup, donning the C20 smartphone with a single 8MP wide unit with an f/2.0 aperture and autofocus. An LED flash also accompanies the sensor.

Meanwhile, the realme C20 has a speaker placed on the back, while the bottom part has a 3.5mm headphone jack, alongside a microphone and a dated Micro USB port. The realme logo can also be seen in this section.

Despite the aging port, realme still manages to equip the smartphone with a massive 5,000mAh battery capacity. Strangely so, the phone wasn't armed with support for fast charging. Instead, the device has the conventional 10W charging.

Perhaps the most attractive feature of the realme C20 is its chipset. The smartphone is fueled by MediaTek's Helio G35 system-on-a-chip, a processor based on a 12nm architecture. The chip then features PowerVR GE8320 for GPU, with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The latter is expandable via its dedicated microSD card slot.

The realme C20 also offers a slew of miscellaneous features. These include a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.1, a dedicated FM radio, and a loudspeaker.

The realme C20 runs Android 10 straight out of the box, with realme UI right atop. The phone retails in two color variants – Blue and Black.

The realme C20, scheduled to go on sale via local retailers in Vietnam, will retail for VND 2,490,000 (around PHP 5,000).

Despite its shortcomings, such as its basic camera offerings and support for dated technologies such as the Micro USB port, the realme C20 is still a phone that should quickly generate fans in the local market, largely due to its attractive price-performance ratio.
