Redmi is bringing out the big guns in its entry-level lineup of smartphones.
Days after the Redmi 10X debuted on Geekbench, Redmi's upcoming, hotly-anticipated smartphone's key specs have leaked yet again, not only signaling the phone's arrival but its headline-grabbing features as well. And by the looks of them, the device is shaping up to be the Redmi series' most phenomenal to date.
According to a leak by Ishan Agarwal, the Redmi 10X will arrive in 4G and 5G variants. The two editions are also slated to offer different configurations and color paint jobs.
For the Redmi 10X 4G version, the tipster revealed that the phone would come in only two configurations – 4GB/128GB and 6GB/6GB/128GB. Buyers will also be provided with three color variants – White, Sky Blue, and Green.
Recent reports also indicated that the Redmi 10X would feature a 6.53-inch display, plus a cutout on the upper-left section of its screen. Around its back, the handset is also tipped to pack a 48MP-led quad-camera setup, right with a 13MP selfie shooter on its front.
Under the hood, the phone is set to be powered by MediaTek's Helio G70 processor. The device could also debut with a massive 5,020mAh battery.
The Redmi 10X 5G version, on the other hand, is said to be launching with three configurations – 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB. The 5G variant is speculated to come in four colors – Gold, White, Blue, and Violet.
Redmi is also expected to launch a Pro version in the series, which should likewise be enabled with a 5G connectivity. The model will come with a base 8GB of RAM with 128GB/256GB of internal storage options. It will come with Dark Blue, Silver/White, and Gold color variants.
Before the Redmi 10X series' key RAM and ROM configurations were outed, the 6GB RAM-toting variant of the lineup officially paid its visit to Geekbench. This was also before its listing on the Google Play Console.
The Geekbench listing of the Redmi 10X revealed a slew of crucial specs, which included the aforementioned MediaTek SoC, Android 10 OS, a Full HD+ display, and an ARM Mali-G52 GPU.
The popular benchmarking platform also hinted at the possibility that the Redmi 10X might not be limited to the Chinese market. Instead, it could also find its way to other regions, with India as its next targeted market.
The Redmi 10X is tipped to debut on May 28.
