OnePlus Band's First Official Teaser Surfaces; Design and Specs Also Revealed

OnePlus' first smart band is tipped to come with a 1.1-inch AMOLED panel, 13 exercise modes, an IP68 rating, and a 14-day battery life.

OnePlus has finally posted the first teaser of its much-awaited smart band. Teased on OnePlus' official social media accounts, the OnePlus Band is dubbed as "The New Face of Fitness."

The OnePlus Band also surfaced on the company's Indian website. Its "Notify Me" listing reveals the same moniker, alongside a teaser that is shaped and rotates like a smart band, indicating that it's coming soon.

Though both teasers didn't do much when it comes to the OnePlus Band's pricing and specifications, the same couldn't be said with the sleuths online.

Noted serial leaksters Ishan Agarwal and Mukul Sharma revealed that the OnePlus Band is set to arrive with some of the most noteworthy features in the competition.

Accordingly, the OnePlus Band will launch with a 1.1-inch AMOLED panel, a 14-day battery life, IP68 rating, and 13 exercise modes.

The OnePlus Band is also slated to boast sleep tracking, plus 24/7 heart rate tracking and a SpO2 blood saturation monitoring system.

In terms of design, the OnePlus Band very much mirrors the Xiaomi Mi Band's aesthetics, also deemed as its competitor, with a rectangular display and a rubber watch strap. The device should also come in a slew of color combinations, all of which sport a ridged silicone band design.

How about the OnePlus' fitness tracker's pricing? Like most of its rivals in its class, the OnePlus Band is expected to feature an attractive price. Rumor has it that the device will launch with an affordable price tag of USD 40 (around PHP 1,900).

As for the OnePlus Band's launch date, it's tipped that it would be announced by the company in India first, and should make its way in other regions.

Some tech outlets also speculated that the OnePlus Band could get launched as early as this month, with Agarwal finally adding that it could arrive in the country in a week's time.

Apart from the OnePlus Band, OnePlus is also rumored to launch a smartwatch early this 2021, alongside the release of the OnePlus 9, which is heavily speculated to be announced in March.
