HMD Global has announced that a trio of Nokia smartphones is now already en route to the Philippines. The handsets are confirmed to be the Nokia 8.1, Nokia 3.2, and Nokia 2.2 – all of which are expected to arrive on July 16. Pricing is yet to be announced by the company.
Nokia 8.1 Key Specifications
Announced on December 2018, the Android One-powered Nokia 8.1 banks on the power of Qualcomm's premium mid-range chipset, the Snapdragon 710. The device is coupled with 4GB of RAM and an expandable 64GB of internal storage.
The Nokia 8.1 also sports a 6.18-inch IPS LCD display with a wide notch – a feature that was considered to be trendy last year. Right inside the notch is a large 20MP front-facing camera sensor. On its rear, the smartphone features a dual-camera setup, front-lined by 12MP and 13MP camera sensors.
Other notable features of the Nokia 8.1 are its rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, NFC, dedicated FM radio, and a USB Type-C port.

Nokia 3.2 Key Specifications
Despite of the Nokia 3.2 being powered by a Snapdragon 429 chipset, the strength of the smartphone comes from its trendier design than the Nokia 8.1. The phone sports a 6.26-inch IPS LCD display with a narrower notch.
Also running an Android One platform, the Nokia 3.2 is coupled with 2GB/3GB of RAM tiers and 16GB/32GB of internal storage options; the latter is expandable via its microSD card slot to up to 400GB of storage.
The Nokia 3.2 settles on a traditional camera setup – with a single 13MP camera sensor on its rear and a 5MP front-facing lens in its notch. The phone also features a rear-mounted fingerprint reader (for the 3GB/32GB variant only) and a dedicated FM radio. Unlike the Nokia 8.1, however, this device supports a dated Micro USB 2.0 port.

The smartphone is fueled by MediaTek's Helio A22 chipset and is coupled with 2GB/3GB of RAM tiers and 16GB/32GB of internal storage options; the latter is also expandable to up to 400GB of storage via its microSD card slot.
The Nokia 2.2 features a 5.71-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1,520 pixel and an Always-on display feature. It also sports a single 13MP camera sensor on its rear and a 5MP front-facing camera in its notch.

The only question remaining is, will these Android One-powered Nokia smartphones be competitively priced enough to attract the consumers in the mid-range segment in the market? Regardless, Nokia better act fast as Samsung, HUAWEI, Xiaomi, Vivo and OPPO dominate the Philippines' mid-range segment.
