About HONOR N Series
Huawei Honor, A Breaker of Molds
Founded in 2013, HONOR is actually part of Huawei's strategy to market a new kind of phone series for the newer generation, taking advantage of Huawei's accumulated expertise in ICT fields and creating trendsetting smartphones for young people around the world. By adopting an Internet-based, asset-light business model, revenue has soared to over 10 billion USD in the last five years. As a result, Honor is now the biggest smartphone seller in China. As of 2016, Honor sells its products through online markets on other third-party apps. But some Honor phones are available to purchase on the market as well.
Honor has actually changed its tactics to offer a more direct customer approach where users could give feedback to what type of phone they want to be built and Honor will, this was their plan at first allegedly. But critics mentioned that they could have done so with their original Huawei brand. Honor, with the tagline "for the brave", was clearly aimed for the users who weren't really that great with the older phones. Huawei calls them Digital Natives. These are the younger generation who have grown up using gadgets and have never known a time before the internet and smartphones. Judging from the promotional videos Huawei wants to aim at hipster sorts who are proud to be different. While it might feel a bit forced in its attempts to be cool, Honor is doing the right thing by offering top-end specs in an affordable handset, ideal for the student and young worker crowds. Over the years, the smartphone market has grown considerably, and Honor has wisely grown with it, today this maker continues to churn out handsets which carry many high-end features from powerful processors to capable camera assemblies. No other brand personifies trendsetting better than Honor, overall the brand is a wonderful amalgamation of high tech and high fashion.
The Honor series bears the sole name of its maker for a reason. This family of devices is the lineup responsible for making Honor a manufacturer to be reckoned with. Members of the Honor series often blur the line between the upper middle class and lower flagship segment, this speaks volumes of the painstaking design and craftsmanship that goes into the Honor series of devices.
Honor's X series gains fame not just as the brand's premier Mid-range lineup, but also as one of the few series that retains google play services. After various controversies surrounding Honor's parent company HUAWEI, many Honor phones lost the support for Google services, however the Honor 9X remains one of the last Honor devices to support google play services. Pairing this capability with the all-around great performance that the X series is known for allows users to enjoy the best of both worlds with this family of devices. It should be noted however that newer members of the X series such as the Honor 10X no longer support Google services.
The Honor 6 is the first mid-end smartphone from Huawei's Honor series. It was released in August 2014. Honor 6 has a 5.0-inch IPS LCD display and runs on Android 6 OS after the latest update. It is the second phone which uses the amazing HiSilicon Kirin chipset. Additionally, this piece comes with Cat 6 LTE 4G meaning theoretical speeds of up to 300Mbps. Unfortunately, many regions have yet to support such blistering speeds. In fact, 4G+, which manages 150Mbps, has only just rolled out in central London. So while the handset itself is future proof, except for its lack of a 2K screen, the Honor brand itself might not be. It might grab a few headlines, but with Huawei being a major player in the Network Hardware department it surely will be capable of matching other brands.
The Honor 20 has a Kirin 980 octa-core processor, a Mali-G76 GPU, and a 3,750 mAh non-removable battery. It has a 6.26-inch "all-view" display LCD screen. Along with this, the device is equipped with four rear cameras including a 48-megapixel main camera, a 16-megapixel super-wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel depth camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera which should not be underestimated.
As an offshoot of HUAWEI, Honor carries much of the quality and dependability that its parent company is known for. But beyond this, Honor essentially blazes its own trail, with the motto "Honor My World" behind the creation of every device, this maker aims to empower the younger, more tech-savvy generation of consumers with powerful devices that effortlessly blend tech and fashion. This leads to unique designs and aesthetics which have made Honor a household name among the newer brands of the smartphone market. In addition to this, many devices from this manufacturer are typically equipped with highly capable camera assemblies that allow Honor's target market to properly share and "honor their world". Perhaps the most significant factor of Honor devices beyond unique designs and decent cameras is the powerful processors housed in many mid to high-end models. The use of high-performance SoCs allows Honor devices to function seamlessly when meat with heavy processing loads such as multitasking, browsing, and most importantly gaming.
A true strength of many Honor devices is undoubtedly mobile gaming, to further this point Honor has partnered with "Fortnite" a notable FPS game that has taken the world by storm. Users that purchase honor devices can look forward to a unique and well-tailored mobile gaming experience unlike any other. This mobile gaming prowess also translates to excellent media consumption, meaning movies, and videos from streaming services can be enjoyed to the fullest on most, if not all Honor handsets. With all its strengths, this maker adds icing to the proverbial cake by selling many models for budget-friendly pricepoints, with great performance and a low cost, the high value-for-money of Honor's phones is sure to put a smile on any consumers face be they young or old.
