About Xiaomi Mobile Phones
Xiaomi Mobile Phones, from a Tech Giant
Xiaomi was once nicknamed "China's Apple" in its early days, but later on solidified itself as a data-centric internet company, manufacturing a wide range of smart devices such as smart TVs, wireless earbuds, and even lightbulbs. Xiaomi is most famous for making premium flagship smartphones with the latest specifications at affordable prices, making the technology attainable reachable to everyone and not just a lucky few. Xiaomi has developed its own ecosystem of smart devices, which more and more encourages people to switch to a Xiaomi smartphone which enables them to control their smarthome through one device. All in all, Xiaomi is already top 3 in the smartphone market, competing with Samsung and Apple, and considering how young the company is, this feat is truly exceptional. Xiaomi makes gaming phones through their Blackshark line, budget phones through their Redmi line, and premium flagships through their Mi line.
The company was founded in 2010 by Lei Jun, Lin Bin, Zhou Guangping, Liu De, Li Wanqiang, Huang Jiangji, and Hong Feng. On August 16, 2010, Xiaomi officially launched MIUI - their first Android-based firmware. In August 2011, the Xiaomi Mi 1 smartphone was announced, which of course used the MIUI firmware. This device was made commercially available in Asia and East Asia first. In August 2012, the Xiaomi Mi 2 was released, with updated specs and firmware. In September 2013, the Xiaomi Mi 3 was released, and by October 2013, Xiaomi became the fifth-most-used smartphone brand in China. In that year, the company sold over 18.7 million smartphone units. In 2014, Xiaomi decided to expand outside of China, and opened its first international headquarters in Singapore. Following this, the company also opened in Malaysia, Philippines, and India, with plans to enter Indonesia, Thailand, Russia, Turkey, Brazil, and Mexico in the following months.
In February 2014, Xiaomi's sub-company Redmi and the Mi 3 smartphone were released in Singapore. The Mi 3 was sold out within 2 minutes, this just goes to show that Xiaomi is doing all the right things and is here to stay. In March 2014, the Redmi Note phablet was announced, and in that year, the company sold over 60 million smartphones. The following year, the company continued to expand and sold their phones in India and expanded into Brazil as well with the release of the Redmi 2, the first time the company ever assembled a phone outside of China. In February 2016, the company launched the Mi 5 smartphone, followed by the launch of the Redmi Note 3 in India, which was a groundbreaking smartphone at the time, having the best specs possible for its very low price. In May 2016, the Mi Max was released. They also now have a sub-brand named POCO which is known for being a "flagship killer-killer", beating the famous Oneplus brand that was famous for being a "flagship-killer", and Blackshark, a phone focused on gaming.
Famous Series of Xiaomi Mobile Phones
Xiaomi's Mi series is its most famous smartphone series, which was there at the beginning of the company until now. The Mi 1 was released in 2011, followed by the Mi 2 in 2012, and the Mi 3 in September 2013. This was followed by the MI4I in April 2015. In February 2106, the Mi 5 smartphone was released, and the Mi Max was released in May 2016. In April 2017, the Mi 6 was released, and in September of that year, the Mi Max 2 was launched. In April 2018, the Mi 6x was released, along with the Mix 2S. In 2019, the Mi 9 was released, followed by the Mi 10 5g and Mi 10T Pro 5g in February 2020. The Mi Series is well known for providing the best of the best chipsets and design, without having the highest prices compared to its competition.
Another successful series of Xiaomi is the POCO series. The first release in this successful series was the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 (Xiaomi POCO F1 in India) which was in August 22nd, 2018. At the time, this was easily one of the most affordable smartphones that had flagship-level processing power and specs, as it had the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, which was among the fastest processors in the world. It also had the Adreno 630 GPU which ran any game at high settings even until today. It featured a 6.18-inch 1080p display, Sony dual-cameras, and a 20-megapixel front camera. It also had up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It also had a 4000mAh battery that charges fast using its USB Type-C port. The Poco series was deemed the "flagship killer" as it was up to par with brands such as Oneplus, which was famous for being a budget flagship device, while the Pocophone did the same for even less money. This was then followed by the Poco X2, the Poco F2 Pro, the Poco M2 Pro, the Poco X3 NFC, the Poco M3, the Poco X3, and the latest Poco C3 released in October 2020.

It has a 6.67-inch fullscreen display with a small punch-hole cut out at the upper left for the front camera, and has a triple camera system at the rear. It is powered by the latest Snapdragon 865 chipset, which makes it one of the fastest smartphones right now. It also has a 108MP main camera sensor capable of shooting at 8K resolution, making it one of the few smartphones that can shoot at this resolution. What sets it apart is that it has a 144hz, IPS LCD, HDR10+ display, which provides the smoothest gaming experience ever on any smartphone. Even scrolling through the home screen feels buttery smooth with this high of a refresh rate. With all these amazing and innovative specs, the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro 5G only starts at $599.00 which is still much less than the flagships of other companies.

Features & Strength of Xiaomi Mobile Phones
Ultimately, the finest feature of Xiaomi smartphones is their price. No matter what part of the market you look at, there is a Xiaomi smartphone in that price range and the majority of the time, the Xiaomi smartphone is the best deal to get. From ultra-budget phones, to mid-range phones and even flagship phones, Xiaomi is there with the best specs possible. Another good feature of Xiaomi is that they have released hundreds of smartphone models through the years, and they always seem to break the barrier when it comes to technology. They never get comfortable with what they currently have, instead, they get the input from real-world users and make their products better with each release. Another awesome feature of Xiaomi mobile phones is that they have specific markets, not just one. For ultra-budget phones, POCO is one of the best. For serious gaming and streaming, then the Black Shark brand is the best one. For Mid-range devices, then the Redmi phones are a good deal, and for ultra-premium phones, then the Mi series is a great option. No matter what kind of phone you need, Xiaomi has it for you. Lastly, a good feature of Xiaomi mobile phones is that they listen to their customers closely and apply those suggestions on their next releases, giving the customers a truly delightful experience with their products.
