About Lenovo ThinkPad

Lenovo ThinkPad laptops provide a range of attractive options

Lenovo ThinkPad, in the Philippines, is a lineup of tablets and laptop, computers, originally designed and marketed by IBM, after which Lenovo took over the PC business from IBM in 2005. Known extensively for their minimalist design and exceptional performance, the ThinkPad series enjoys a very good reputation in the Philippines. The design was made by Richard Sapper in the 1990's on the concept of Bento lunchbox of Japan. These models have attained popularity among business organizations, schools or other education sectors where the demand for multimedia is less and efficiency in computation is high. The ThinkPad is one and only lineup that is authorized for use on the International Space Station, which is actually an achievement to boast of.

The name "ThinkPad" is a product of IBM's culture and corporate history, as Thomas J. Watson Sr. introduced "THINK" as their slogan back in the 1920's. In the coming decades, the company boasted of their product by emblazoning on the brown leather cover on their products. Later on, the "Thinkpad" logo was changed to accommodate further models that needed to be identified by numbers.

It was equipped with small form factor Intel GS965 chipset instead of the standard version. The ThinkPad X301, on the other hand, is powered by Intel Centrino 2 mobile platform and consumes very low voltage.

ThinkPad X200/X200s: This series offers many interesting features that are optional like SSD, integrated camera, 12.1 widescreen display, optional 3G WWAN and 9-cell battery with backup time up to 9.8 hours. Reasons for popularity in the Philippines

Newly released Lenovo ThinkPad series enjoys a wide reputation due to such innovative technologies incorporated into each and every product. With a steady lineup of impressive devices, this company now aims to acquire an even larger share of the market as the competition is ever increasing. Apart from leading edge technology, these lineups of laptops are also famous for their low price compared to other brands such as HP, DELL, Compaq, etc. If you reside in the Philippines and are on a lookout for an outstanding laptop, then go for the ThinkPad series with your eyes closed.
