About Fujifilm instax

FUJIFILM INSTAX brings you top-notch series of cameras

FUJIFILM INSTAX is a series of instant cameras developed and marketed by Fujifilm and available since late 1990s. Two formats are available in the form of Instax film cameras and "wide" format that produces image 60 x 99 mm in dimensions. This particular series enjoys a niche' audience in Philippines because of its features that feels outdated to some. Otherwise, this Japanese multinational company enjoys wide popularity owing to their rich heritage in making devices that capture still images and also provide innovations that are way ahead of their time.

History of the maker

Fujifilm is a Japanese company based in Tokyo and is involved in activities such as research, development, manufacture, sales and service of imaging solutions, medical practices, business requirements, flat screen display and many more. Fuji photo Film Co. Ltd was established in 1934 with the intention of brining photographic films for the first time in Japan. In the following decades, the company expanded their service and penetrated the printing, medical, imaging and magnetic materials fields. The company left its shores in the 80's and branched out to various parts of the world and became a truly global brand. FUJIFILM INSTAX series was launched in the next decade.

The camera lineup of Instax consists of Instax Mini, a device that redefines compactness and utility. While it may look extremely colourful and toy-ish at first glance, it makes no compromises on its efficiency. While many models have been discontinued, there are few that still rule the roster on this day.
  • Instax Mini 7S: Released on June 2008, this model features 60 mm f/12.7 mm lens, 119.5 x 121.1 x 70.5 mm and weighs 320 grams.
  • Instax Mini 25: First released on June 2009, this camera features 60 mm f/12.7 mm lens, measures 112 x 121.0 x 50.5 mm in dimensions and weighs 320 grams.

Apart from FUJIFILM INSTAX Mini series, there are plenty of other recently released models that offer sensational features at a very budget friendly price in Philippines. One of the models- the Instaflex TL70 released on June 2014 with impressive features like 61mm f/5.6, f/8, f/16, f/22, f/bokeh lens, automatic exposure, 3XAA batteries and other attributes that will surely make it an all round winner in the market.

Popularity in the Philippines

FUJIFILM INSTAX owes its popularity to the brand's name that people relate easily to photography and other associated activities. The brand's rise to fame began in Japan, where the company started getting rave reviews about their products and earned sufficient amount of profits to expand in other parts of the world.

Latest news in the Philippines

Fujifilm recently opened a revolutionary store in Philippines named as "The Wonder Photo Shop", whose primary intention is to educate awareness among people about the joys of fundamental values of picture taking. This initiative can be termed as a welcome move because in the age of smartphones, people are losing touch of the photography roots that dates decades back to the time when it was invented.
