Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Specifications
The Redmi Note 9 has a unibody all-plastic design with a 6.53-inch IPS LCD screen that gets the Gorilla Glass 5 safeguard. The display flaunts full HD+ (2340x1080) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
Under the hood, a 12nm MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core SoC pumps power paired with a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU, 3GB/4GB RAM, and 64GB/128GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 512GB using a dedicated microSD card slot.
Camera wise, the Redmi Note 9 mounts a quad-rear camera setup with a 48MP f/1.79 primary sensor leading the show. The other three rear sensors include an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP f/2.4 macro sensor, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor.
A tiny punch-hole cutout on the top-left corner of the display hides a 13MP f/2.25 sensor that handles selfie-snapping and video chat works. The phone boots MIUI 11 on Android 10 as the base while providing juice to the device is a 5,020mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.
The fingerprint scanner sits below the camera module at the back. For protection, the Redmi Note 9 comes with splash-proof nano-coating. As far as the connectivity options are concerned, the Redmi Note 9 includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, IR Blaster, USB Type-C port, and also the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack.

Both phones are clearly priced competetively in the Philippine market. It would have been better though if Xiaomi had cared to equip the latest Redmi phones or at least the Redmi Note 9 Pro with a 90Hz refresh rate, something which Realme has done with the newly arrived Realme 6 and 6 Pro in the Philippines. Nonetheless, the Redmi Note 9 and Note 9 Pro are pretty much well-rounded smartphones for their prices.
