On Mi Philippines' official Facebook account, it's been revealed that the Redmi Note 6 Pro is now scheduled to debut in the country. The post includes the smartphone's official images in varying color options, a set of its defining features, and prices based on its memory configurations.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro's main takeaway is its inclusion of quadruple cameras, which is a first in Xiaomi's wide range of smartphone devices. It features a rear dual 12MP + 5MP camera setup which boasts of an AI-assisted bokeh effect. Its front-facing snappers, on the other hand, are equipped with 20MP + 2MP camera sensors. These cameras are noted for the AI-assisted Portrait Selfie mode which should impress those who are selfie enthusiasts.
Dubbed as the "perfect all-rounder", the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro features a notched 6.26-inch FHD+ IPS display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. A 2.5D, unspecified Corning Gorilla Glass is also one of its display inclusions. The device is powered by the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset, coupled with an octa-core CPU and an Adreno 509 GPU. Completing the hardware offerings are the 3GB/4GB RAM tiers and the 32GB/64GB internal storage options. The built-in storage can also be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card slot.
Running the show is Google's Android operating system, the Android 8.1 Oreo which is based on Xiaomi's proprietary UI, the MIUI 9. Powering everything up is a huge 4,000mAh battery, which is also one of the device's major perks. Other notable features are the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and an IR blaster.
