The Xiaomi Redmi 9T is finally now in the flesh, only days after it debuted in the wild. Launched alongside the Redmi Note 9T, Redmi's newest budget-oriented offering is built on the premise of the Redmi 9, with key battery and camera upgrades.

Dubbed as the latest "entry-level king," the Redmi 9T features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel, with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels and 400 nits of typical brightness. Additionally, the phone's display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Meanwhile, Redmi tweaks the 9T smartphone design on its rear, with a massive Redmi logo and a quadruple-camera setup housed in a modern-looking module as its highlights.

The Redmi 9T's rear camera system features a 48MP wide unit as its main lens, one that also comes with PDAF and an f/1.8 aperture. The phone's auxiliary sensors include an 8MP ultrawide camera and two 2MP macro and depth lenses. On the other hand, the handset packs an 8MP selfie shooter, residing in the phone's notch.

The Redmi 9T also has some of the most solid internals in its class. The phone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 662 chip, with Adreno 610 GPU. It also boasts 4GB/6GB of RAM tiers, with 64GB/128GB of onboard storage options.
Like the Redmi Note 9T 5G, the Redmi 9T's 64GB variant features a UFS 2.1 storage variety, while the 128GB version has a UFS 2.2 type.

The clear highlight of the Redmi 9T can be found in the battery department. The phone flaunts an enormous 6,000mAh battery capacity, upping the vanilla Redmi 9's 5,020mAh offering. Redmi also equipped the device with support for 18W fast wired charging and a 2.5W reverse charging. According to Redmi, the 9T has four years of reliability.
The Redmi 9T also features a slew of useful miscellaneous features. These include a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0, an optional NFC, a dedicated FM radio, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, an infrared sensor, and USB Type-C.

The Redmi 9T, which retails in Twilight Blue, Dawn Orange, Ocean Green, and Carbon Gray color variants, starts at EUR 159 (around PHP 9,300) for its base 4GB/64GB variant, while the 4GB/128GB model costs EUR 189 (around PHP 11,000). Buyers will have to shell out EUR 10 (around PHP 600) more if they opt for NFC.
Redmi hasn't revealed the 9T smartphone's range-topping 6GB/128GB pricing yet.
Xiaomi Philippines is yet to announce the Redmi 9T and the Redmi Note 9T's arrival in the country.
