The Redmi 9T has just been spotted on Xiaomi's LazMall store. More importantly, the promotional banner suggests that the handset is indeed launching officially. We just don't know when.

On Shopee, the Redmi 9T was spotted carrying a price tag of PHP 6,990 for its 4GB/64GB variant. Note that we're referring to the cheaper, non-NFC edition of the said handset. For now, the 128GB variant remains to be in the dark.

The Redmi 9T's Lazada listing, on the other hand, showed that the phone retails for the same price with the same variant. The listing has been deleted since it was spotted. Nevertheless, Xiaomi is still mum as to how much the Redmi 9T would be priced officially. But at least we now have a ballpark figure.

Announced on January 8, 2021, the Redmi 9T is built on the game-changing premise of the vanilla Redmi 9. As it is, its key features and specifications are meant to shake things up in the entry-level competition.

The Redmi 9T features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels. The phone's display also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and a notch that houses an 8MP selfie snapper. The device, however, has a conventional 60Hz refresh rate.

On its rear, the Redmi 9T flaunts quadruple cameras, headlined by a 48MP wide unit. Its auxiliary sensors comprise an 8MP ultrawide lens and two 2MP macro and depth lenses. All of these reside in the phone's rectangular camera module, right with an LED flash.

Inside, the Redmi 9T is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 662 chip, with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage options. The 64GB sports a UFS 2.1 storage variety, while the 128GB has a UFS 2.2 type.

Meanwhile, the Redmi 9T works with a massive 6,000mAh battery, supporting 18W fast wired charging. The phone runs on the latest MIUI 12, based on Android 10.

Other key features of the Redmi 9T include a side-mounted fingerprint reader, a 3.5mm headphone jack, infrared port, a dedicated FM radio, and USB Type-C.

The Redmi 9T retails in four color variants – Ocean Green, Dawn Orange, Twilight Blue, and Carbon Gray.
