The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, the slightly smaller variant of the Xiaomi Mi 9, is now scheduled to be launched in the Philippines today.
The announcement just comes after the device was teased on Xiaomi's local Facebook account which hinted that the Chinese smartphone titan could soon be releasing the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE in the country. The post comes with an image that shows an outline of a phone with a rounded metal frame which also features antenna lines and a USB-C port with speaker holes flanking it.
The image is also accompanied by a caption that reads, "Another 9 is coming," which is an obvious reference to Xiaomi's latest entry from the Mi 9 lineup. There's also another image which surfaces online revealing the rear of a Xiaomi smartphone, sporting a triple-camera setup. But it is its caption which further leads the brand's fans to an evident Xiaomi Mi 9 SE local release. The caption goes, "Size is less, can you give a guess?"
Fans already know that the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, at the time of its release, sports a smaller 5.97-inch Super AMOLED display.
