Just a week after it debuted in the Vietnamese market, the Vivo Y11 is now official in the Philippines. Right alongside its confirmed availability, the company has also announced its official pricing locally – PHP 5,999.
- Entry level chipset combined with a large 5,000mAh battery
- 13MP main camera sensor
- Micro USB 2.0 port
- No fast-charging
- Entry level chipset
- LCD display
- No OIS
At the heart of the Vivo Y11 is its trend-setting design language that is made more pronounced by its 6.35-inch Halo FullView Display with a resolution of 720 x 1,544 pixels. Part of its display's charm can be gleaned from its super-narrow bezels on all its sides.
On its rear, the Vivo Y11 shines even more distinctively. According to Vivo, its design is taken from the interaction of gemstones and is crafted to perfection through the brand's premium color production techniques. Meanwhile, there is also that sophistication on its color gradient finish that begs to be noticed.
The Vivo Y11 also prides itself with its perfect-shot, AI-powered dual-camera setup on its back. The setup is front-lined by a 13MP primary camera module and a 2MP depth sensor. Also right inside its notch is an 8MP front-facing camera. The phone's selfie camera is claimed to bank on the brand's AI Face Beauty feature, which is said to produce natural-looking selfie shots.
The Vivo Y11 packs a decent powerhouse in terms of the hardware department. A considerable part of its powerful performance can be attributed to its massive 5,000mAh battery. According to Vivo, the phone's high-capacity battery can last for days, thanks to the brand's smart power management system. Also, a significant part of its impressive performance is the inclusion of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 439 chipset, coupled with an Adreno 505 GPU. The phone also boasts 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space. Lastly, Vivo's Funtouch OS 9.1, based on Android 9.0 Pie, runs the show.
The same can be said with the Y11's security features. For such a competitive price, Vivo managed to equip the device with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor that can unlock the phone swiftly.
Other key features of the Vivo Y11 (2019) are its dedicated FM radio and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone retails in two color variants – Agate Red and Mineral Blue.
Vivo Y11 vs Xiaomi Redmi 8
The Vivo Y11 serves as Vivo's latest entry-level smartphone in the segment, touted as the rival of the Redmi 8. But aside from the camera, battery and the same HD+ LCD notched display, the Y11 seems to lack on certain features every user would be happy to have.
