Vivo has officially launched their newest V11 smartphone on the Philippine shores. Aiming to compete with a wide host of other middle-level specced smartphones, the Vivo V11 hopes to make a difference with the Filipino market.
The Vivo V11 features some new functions that make it unique from its competitors, with the biggest feature being the in-display fingerprint scanner, a feature that even rival Samsung is having difficulties implementing on their smartphones. It also comes equipped with a large 6.41-inch Super AMOLED display panel with a full HD+ resolution, promising to deliver crisp images with pleasing color profiles. The display panel features a waterdrop notch on top of the display which houses the front-facing selfie camera, which bears a resemblance to the OPPO F9 smartphone.
This new smartphone is powered by the mid-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC which features a 2GHz octa-core processor paired with 6GB RAM plus 64GB of internal storage with the option for expansion via microSD card. The battery life is decent with its 3400mAh battery, with Vivo deciding to go with their proprietary fast charging technology that means less time charging and more play time.
The front-facing selfie camera has a generous 25-megapixel sensor, while the rear cameras have a 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel dual-camera setup. To make the most out of these cameras, Vivo has provided AI-powered camera software that intelligently adjusts camera settings depending on the shooting environment and the subject being shot. Other camera features include augmented reality (AR) stickers and a revamped portrait feature.
The V11 comes with Android 8.1 Oreo installed out of the box, leaving the possibility of upgrades to Android 9.0 Pie, though Vivo has not yet announced a specific date for the new OS rollout.
The Vivo V11 comes in various colorways; Nebula Fusion that transitions from blue to purple depending on the light refraction. It also comes in Starry Night for consumers who are looking for something that stands out from the rest of the pack.
The all-new Vivo V11 has a starting price tag of PHP 19,999. If you act now and pre-order this smartphone from Shopee and Lazada, you will get PHP 3,490 worth of freebies to go along with your new smartphone. If you are on the market for something a little cheaper, Vivo has also launched the similar V11i smartphone with slightly lower specs and a friendlier price tag of PHP 15,999.
