Vivo NEX S will be the highest-end variant with Snapdragon 845 SoC
Among the three Vivo NEX variants, it turns out that the Vivo NEX S is the highest-end model, sporting a Snapdragon 845 processor under the hood. The top-tier device will most likely come with 8GB RAM, Android 8.1 Oreo, 6.59-inch display, and 256GB storage.
By now, we must've known that the bezel-less Vivo NEX phone will be offered in three different variants, namely the regular Vivo NEX, Vivo NEX A, and Vivo NEX S. We have heard that two of those models will be carrying a slightly lower-end Snapdragon 710 chipset whereas the other one will have the most powerful Snapdragon 845 processor ticking under the hood. There exists a confusion regarding which one of them is the flagship-tier handset, well, until now. Thanks to a newly-unearthed Geekbench documentation, we now know that the Vivo NEX S is the highest-end model we are looking forward to.
According to the Geekbench listing, the Vivo NEX S secured to latest chip for itself and added a hefty 8GB RAM in the package. It also runs on Android 8.1.0 out-of-the-box. In the single-core and multi-core tests, the NEX S received 2419points and 9085points respectively. It is worth mentioning that it got the highest multi-core score among all the Vivo phones launched to date. That being said, we have no reason to think that the Vivo NEX S won't be a flagship handset. Other rumors have it that the NEX S will most likely sport a 6.59-inch display and pack a huge 256GB internal memory storage.
Regarding the other two variants, we heard that the Vivo NEX A will arrive with a 6.01-inch full HD+ screen, Snapdragon 710 SoC, 4GB RAM/64GB storage, a 20MP + 16MP dual-rear camera, 20MP front-facing snapper, Android 8.1 Oreo, and a 3320mAh battery. The standard Vivo NEX, on the other hand, is rumored to ship with a 6.59-inch display, 6GB RAM, 128GB memory, and a massive 4000mAh cell. It might also come powered by a Snapdragon 710 processor. We'll get the clarifications we need on June 12, where all of the Vivo NEX models will be unveiled.
