With Vivo NEX's launching becoming more imminent by the day, a slew of leaks and renders are expected to spring right on any visible tech feeds. But one confirmation that stood out from all of these speculations is that the much-awaited flagship from the Chinese smartphone maker will not only come in one but in three variants.
Although most of Vivo's contemporaries are now doing the same, this is quite a milestone for the firm as it usually releases one flagship at a time. Chinese agency 3C corroborated with this development as it revealed three variants of Vivo's upcoming flagships the Vivo NEX, the Vivo NEX A and the Vivo NEX S.
Now while the Vivo NEX S variant has already made its debut among the tech outlets as of late, it's the Vivo NEX A that stole the spotlight. According to the listing, the newly-revealed flagship entry is expected to support 5V/2A, 9V/2A, and 10V/2.25A charging profiles; a USB Type-C port has also been spotted. Moreover, the same version is speculated to be retailed only in China while the Vivo NEX and the Vivo NEX S are slated to be introduced in other markets apart from their homeland.
In the specs department, the Vivo NEX and the Vivo NEX S are expected to reap the better features. The former is slated to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and will be aided by a massive 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The latter, on the other hand, should be generated by a Snapdragon 710, a new and mid-range chipset. Vivo NEX S should be equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage.
The Vivo NEX is rumored to be retailed at CNY6,988 (around PHP57,300) while the Vivo NEX S is to come with a price tag of CNY4,998 (around PHP40,900). The Vivo NEX A doesn't have a pricing yet but is expected to get one soon. Stay tuned for updates.
