Samsung Galaxy M31 with 6,000mAh Battery and 64MP Cam to Debut on February 25
On the heels of the announcement of Samsung's mega mobile players, the Galaxy S20 duo and the Galaxy S20 Ultra, another behemoth of a handset is now confirmed to be on the horizon that should surely delight users in the budget-friendly to mid-range segments.
A new Samsung Galaxy smartphone has been birthed into the scene, just a day shy from the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S20 series. And by the looks of it, the phone is shaping up to be Samsung's most significant release yet in the entry-level to mid-range segments.
The said phone that was teased is the Samsung Galaxy M31, which is now confirmed to launch on February 25 in the Indian market and now has a live page on Samsung India's official website.
Succeeding the Samsung Galaxy M30s, the Galaxy M31 is currently being marketed as a #MegaMonster. And as it should be: the phone is slated to boast some of the most high-profile features in its class, ones that aren't a staple yet in the flagship department.
At the top of this list of features is the phone's purported 64MP-headlining quadruple-camera setup. The setup is set to be placed in a familiar L-shaped module on the phone's upper-left section on its rear.
The Samsung Galaxy M31 is also set to be equipped with a massive 6,000mAh battery, a feature that is yet to grace even the most sought-after premium iterations in the business.
Of course, leaks are nothing new at this point for the Samsung Galaxy M31. According to the grapevine, the phone is slated to run the latest One UI 2 based on Android 10 out of the box.
Other key features of the Samsung Galaxy M31 that may launch with the phone include an Exynos 9611 SoC, a 6.4-inch sAMOLED Infinity-U display, Bluetooth 5.0, and dual-band Wi-Fi. The phone is also expected to come in 4GB/6GB of RAM tiers and 64GB/128GB of internal storage configurations.
Now that the Galaxy M series is already a fixture in the Philippine mobile scene with pricing that is competitive, it shouldn't come as a surprise if the Samsung Galaxy M31 gets the same treatment. Note that the Samsung Galaxy M30, which became available in August 2019, was only launched with a retail price of PHP 12,490.
