The cat is now out of the bag. The Samsung Galaxy A70, the larger and meatier version of the immensely popular Galaxy A50, will be priced in the Philippines for PHP 22,990. The confirmed price tag just briefly follows the announcement that the device would soon grace its eager fans in the country.
The huge anticipation surrounding the Samsung Galaxy A70 is very much warranted. Apart from it being an entry of Samsung's critically-acclaimed, revamped Galaxy A series, the device also mirrors what made the Samsung Galaxy A50 commercially appealing. Without giving much of anything yet, the smartphone sports a triple-camera setup on its rear, a reliable in-display fingerprint sensor, and a design that rivals the most modern smartphones of today.
The Samsung Galaxy A70's pre-order has already started on May 14 and should end on the 19th of this month. Interested participants will also be eligible to get a free JBL Clip 3 and Nanofixit Screen Crack insurance. Both are valued at PHP 4,000.
Samsung Galaxy A70 Features and Specifications
For those who are late to the party, the Samsung Galaxy A70 features a large 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. It's powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 675 which is then mated to an Adreno 612 GPU. The device is coupled with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and an expandable 128GB of internal storage.
The triple cameras on its rear are front-lined by a large 32MP camera sensor, flanked by an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 5MP depth sensor. Also considered one of its hallmarks is its equally huge 32MP selfie camera.
Like the Samsung Galaxy A50, the Samsung Galaxy A70 also features an in-display fingerprint sensor. A juicier 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast battery charging support is also thrown into the mix.
The Samsung Galaxy A70 runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie and retails in Coral, Blue, Black, and White color variants.
