The OPPO Reno4 has a new date of arrival in the Philippines, which is rescheduled to August 14. Earlier, it was speculated to launch on August 7. But, because of the enforcement of the stricter COVID-19 related guidelines in the National Capital Region until August 18, the launch date was pushed back.
OPPO announced the reschedule via a Twitter post with the caption "All eyes here because she's about to show how to be #ClearlyTheBestYou with #OPPOReno4. Witness her lustrous energy soon this Aug 14." The video teaser also featured OPPO's new brand ambassador, Nadine Lustre, a famous Filipina actress, and singer described as clearly "lustrous, bold, and edgy." The word "lustrous" being in the caption likely refers to Nadine's makeup collection for BYS Cosmetics, which could be offered as a giveaway.

The OPPO Reno4 comes as the successor to the OPPO Reno3 with a focus set on photography and videography. The OPPO Reno4 is the global variant that was launched in Thailand last week, and it is different from the OPPO Reno4 model that was unveiled in China in early June.
The Global variant of the OPPO Reno4 comes with certain changes in specs such as a Snapdragon 720G SoC and quad-camera setup versus the Snapdragon 765G SoC and triple-camera setup of the Chinese version.
The Reno4 features a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with dual selfie cameras up front that comprise a 32MP primary shooter and another sensor that is not detailed by OPPO. The quad-rear-camera setup gets a 48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP camera array, of which the functionality of each sensor has also not been detailed as of the moment.
The Snapdragon 720G SoC pairs with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage which is expandable via microSD card. Android 10 topped with ColorOS 7.2 covers the software part while a 4,015mAh battery with 30W VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge provides power to the device.
The OPPO Reno4 comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometrics. The phone comes in two color options: Glacial Blue and Space Black. Last but not least, the OPPO Reno4 global variant doesn't support 5G, like the OPPO Reno4 5G in China.
The OPPO Reno4 comes in only a single 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and is priced at THB 11,900 (around PHP 18,800) in Thailand.
Pricing for the Reno4 in the Philippines is still not clear at the moment. OPPO will likely tease certain features of the upcoming phone along with its pricing before the final unveiling. Stay tuned.
