The people behind the OPPO Reno4 series are now on all fours prepping up the release of the eagerly-anticipated lineup as its new live photos emerged, indicating that the phones have now landed in some stores in the critical Chinese market.
Both the OPPO Reno4 5G and the Reno4 Pro 5G appear in a blue color variant, headlining similar yet varied display and design features. The revelations on the images also show how OPPO is moving on from the Reno3 series.
For instance, the OPPO Reno4 series, based on the leaked images, is slated to arrive with a curved screen on both variants. In the Reno3 lineup, this display feature was only reserved for the Pro 5G variant.
The OPPO Reno4 Pro 5G is also set to feature an AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and is confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 765G chipset. On the images, it is also tipped to arrive with a punch-hole, which should house a single, front-facing snapper.
Apart from the high-profile refresh rate display, the OPPO Reno4 Pro 5G is also speculated to launch with optical image stabilization on its 48MP rear headlining camera, alongside a 12MP module is dedicated to low-light shooting and a 13MP telephoto lens. All of these features make the Pro model the better-equipped entry in the series.
Meanwhile, the vanilla model of the series is seen sporting a pill-shaped cutout on its display – a distinctive feature that sets itself apart from the Pro variant. The non-Pro edition, for the first, will use the same chipset as its more premium sibling, the abovementioned Snapdragon 765G SoC.
The OPPO Reno4 5G is also pegged to arrive with a conventional 60Hz display refresh rate, a 48MP rear primary camera with no OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor.
Both smartphones are expected to ship with support for 65W fast wired charging.
Update: A day after the OPPO Reno4 series' live images appeared in the company's homeland market, the lineup's Pro variant's official retail photos have finally been outed via the Chinese retailer JD.com.
In the photos, the Pro edition's purported design above was corroborated, which includes a triple-camera setup on its rear, and a curved display with a single cutout placed at the upper left section of the screen.
The photos also showed that the OPPO Reno4 Pro 5G should arrive in Crystal Red and Blue colorways.
The OPPO Reno4 series is confirmed to debut on June 5.
