Ahead of its still-to-be-revealed launch date in September in India, OPPO has given the fans of the much-awaited F17 Pro phone an earlier gift as it revealed its key specifications.
At the helm of these crucial features is the phone's camera offerings. Accordingly, the device will have a quadruple-camera system on its rear and two cameras on the front. All of these sensors are set to be backed by an all-new AI algorithm, which is said to process images in varying conditions.
The quad-cam setup on its rear is tipped to be headlined by a 48-megapixel camera, with another 8MP and two 2MP lenses as its auxiliary sensors. A 16MP selfie snapper, alongside a depth sensor, is also headed to be housed in the phone's display cutout.
Meanwhile, the OPPO F17 Pro's six cameras are also en route to boast AI Colour Portrait, which uses color to separate the subject from the background. Ultimately, the phone is revealed to be marketed with "The Portrait Expert" catchphrase.
OPPO is also gearing up the F17 Pro as the sleekest phone of 2020. The phone will be 7.48mm thin and will weigh 164g. It is also claimed to become the thinnest phone within the INR 25,000 (around PHP 16,300) price range in 2020.
OPPO also revealed that the F17 Pro would arrive with a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED panel and a 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 feature.
On the other hand, tipster Ishan Agarwal contributed to what appears to be the phone's biggest leaks yet. As per the leakster, the phone will be powered by MediaTek's Helio P95 chipset and will be coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Agarwal also pegged the phone with a display that features a punch-hole cutout, alongside a battery capacity of 4,000mAh.
On the OPPO F17 Pro's official page, the phone is also revealed to be coming with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The rest of its design aspirations corroborate the aforementioned leaks and speculations.
The OPPO F17 Pro will purportedly launch in three colorways – Matte Black, Magic Blue, and Metallic White.
Interestingly, the F17 Pro made its way to several tech reviewers on YouTube in India. The review only showed the unboxing of the device, showcasing its external design and what comes in the box.
According to the F17 Pro's official product page in India, the device is slated to debut on September 2 locally. Apart from the OPPO F17 Pro, OPPO is also tipped to be launching a vanilla F17. But so far, the device isn't listed on OPPO India's official website which raises flags whether the info is legit or not.
