Penta-Camera Nokia 9 PureView To Debut On February 24 At MWC
The eagerly anticipated, penta-camera-equipped Nokia 9 PureView is now tipped to be launched barely a month from now at the annual Mobile World Congress together with the punch-hole-toting Nokia 6.2 or Nokia 8.1 Plus.
The Finnish company HMD Global is now all slated to bring out the bigger guns at the imminent Mobile World Congress as the firm is heavily speculated to launch one of their most game-changing smartphones to-date, the Nokia 9 PureView.
The confirmation of the Nokia 9 PureView's forthcoming release date comes after HMD Global released a poster which basically reveals when they are planning to launch the much-awaited device. In it, the poster shows an eye-like presentation with five cameras right in its retina. Beside the cameras is the date February 24, 2019. Meanwhile, a hash-tagged "Coolnewstuff" is also included beneath the image, alongside the words "Throwback" and "@Nokiamobile."
There's also another poster which shows a Nokia smartphone's silhouette. If there's anything that can be gleaned from it, it's the punch-hole display feature that is located right at its top left corner. The second poster might very well be an indication that the company is also planning to reveal yet another smartphone with a much similar caliber as the Nokia 9 PureView. Recently, there have been reports that the firm is tipped to launch two smartphones with a cutout on their displays, one of which is the Nokia 8.1 Plus or the Nokia 6.2, otherwise known as the Nokia 6 (2019).
The Nokia 6.2, which is also speculated to be launched at the MWC at a later date, is rumored to feature a 6.2-inch display and could be powered by the Snapdragon 632 with 4GB/6GB RAM offerings. It's also said to sport 16MP dual rear cameras with ZEISS branding.
On the other hand, the Nokia 9 PureView is heavily-speculated to sport a 5.99-inch AMOLED notch-less display with a resolution of 1,440 x 2,960 pixels. It might also be one of the last flagships to be powered by the Snapdragon 845. It is also expected that the device will be coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
At the moment, the Nokia 9 PureView's camera sensors are still unspecified. But if there's anything to go by, it's almost certain that one of these would be a dedicated depth sensor.
