The official press renders of the hotly-anticipated, penta-camera-toting Nokia 9 PureView are now in the wild. Fresh off from a reliable site, the renders come just in time when we're only weeks away from its purported release. And like clockwork, the renders highlight the upcoming smartphone's most distinctive feature – its five-camera setup.
The renders show that the Nokia 9 PureView's penta-camera setup will boast of seven cut-outs, all of which are arranged in such a way that it resembles a circle. Only five of these cut-outs are reserved for camera sensors, two of which are placed for the device's LED flash module and auxiliary camera sensor which could possibly be a white-balance meter or a laser-assist focus. Right at the center is the unmistakable ZEISS branding which is already a staple on most Nokia flagships.
Another highlight of the Nokia 9 PureView's official press renders is the confirmation of an in-display fingerprint scanner. On its front panel, the security feature's sign can be seen right below the time, date, and weather. Also key is the presentation of its bezels, both at the top and the bottom, confirming that the smartphone will come with slightly thicker bezels. Atop, you'll see the Nokia branding, a selfie camera, an earpiece, and two sensors which could either be that of light and proximity or vice-versa.
While the front and back of the Nokia 9 PureView's renders are abundant enough relative to its confirmed features, there's nothing spectacular on its side portion. The only visible part is its power button, right beneath the volume rocker. The device's curved edges can also be gleaned from this view.
Although the renders don't show the Nokia 9 PureView's bottom part, past renders suggest that the handset won't be coming with a 3.5mm audio jack. Nevertheless, the device is seen to sport a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.
The Nokia 9 PureView is tipped to feature a 5.99-inch display with QHD+ resolution. Under the hood, we can expect it to be powered by the Snapdragon 845 chipset, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. A 4,150mAh battery capacity is also among its noted features.
The Nokia 9 PureView is slated to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress on February 24.
