Nissan Terra 2020 Performance
All variants sport the same 2.5L YD25DDTi Inline 4-Cylinder, DOHC (Dual Overhead Cam), Variable Turbocharger with Intercooler Diesel engine. It's capable of producing 190ps and 450Nm of torque which should be more than enough for your average city or out of town trips. Performance wise, it is capable of delivering an adequate amount of low-end torque which should prove to be helpful in driving inside the city or through inclined terrain.
The engine on the Nissan Terra is then paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed automatic transmission. Only the 2.5L EL 4x2 variant comes with a manual transmission while the rest of the variants all sport the 7-speed automatic shifter. Even with the 7-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission, the versatile compact rail turbo engine provides a powerful horsepower and torque that guarantees exhilarating driving experience.
The power output is generally smooth although engine noise will start to be noticeable on high revs or when driving uphill.
In contrast to other SUVs with the same size, the Nissan Terra 2020 feels sporty with just the right weight and adjustment when handling the vehicle. The steering isn't too light, rather the Nissan Terra does make you feel that you are driving a big car. Body rolls is still present, although the car is pretty nimble despite its size. Even on complicated roads or tight corners, the Nissan Terra can still be driven with confidence and ease.
Nissan Terra 2020 Design
The Nissan Terra 2020 is inarguably a large vehicle at first glance. It features Nissan's V-Motion design at front with noticeable design lines flowing from the front to the back. The front grille is massive which now comes in a black hue in contrast to the 2019 model that featured a silver grille. Its front fascia retains most of its design to its pick-up brother, the Nissan Navara. The overall design is mild compared to its competition. The Nissan Terra 2020 boasts of simplicity with the right amount of rugged design visually.
Its signature body lines add a modern vibe, in addition to its front slopping design Nissan also added bulging fenders on the front and the rear. At the back, the Nissan Terra still sports the same boomerang inspired taillights with a chrome name plate found on the center of each.
One strong point of the vehicle is its high ground clearance of 225mm. This gives confidence to both its driver and passengers especially during bad weather in the metro.
The Nissan Terra 2020's bold styling continues all the way to its interior as it features a roomy cabin with a 3rd row seat. The second-row seats with tip-up entry are always assured of easy access to the third row. Furthermore, there is a wide variety of cargo carriage options with a sliding 60:40 split second row and 50:50 split third row. The passengers can relax completely with reclining 2nd and 3rd row seats.
Up front, the driver and the front passenger is greeted with a simple dashboard layout mixed with high quality plastics. The steering wheel comes with mounted controls while the center console features a familiar design as physical buttons are still used in operating the vehicle's air-conditioning and airflow unit. Similar to the competition, the Nissan Terra features keyless entry and a push-start button.
Folding the seats is made easy with a 1-touch remote fold allowing easy access to the second-row seats. At the back, the long flat cargo area makes putting in and taking out objects a breeze.
Riding inside the Nissan Terra, you'll notice that the seats are different. This is because of Nissan's zero gravity seats, which is engineered to reduce fatigue and provide generous support. These seats offer good thigh and back support.
The 3rd-row seats are highly suggested for small passengers. Although, one big advantage of the Nissan Terra is that its 2nd-row seats are adjustable. This allows the passengers in the 3rd-row seats to have extra leg room making long drives more comfortable.
Where is the Nissan Terra made?
