MyPhone is well-known for their smartphones that feature built-in Full Seg Digital TV. But now, the local smartphone manufacturer in collaboration with the Chinese company SuperD has geared up something new for the Filipino smartphone market.
To give you a bit of an idea who SuperD is, SuperD is a China-based company which manufactures 3D glasses as its specialization. Although the company is still considered as a newbie in the industry it is already making a blast in the smartphone market scene. Now, MyPhone proudly presents the SuperD D1, a mid-ranger that offers top of the line 1080p display capabilities with 3D displays.
SuperD D1 smartphone sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display capable of showing 3D content without the use of the traditional 3D glasses. It's also virtual reality ready using a VR headset. In addition, the VR experience is enhanced using the eye motion tracking technology that the phone offers. It has a secondary front camera that serves as the eye tracker for the device to know where the user is looking at as it adjusts the perspective of the VR to give better simulation and a more immersive experience.
Under the hood lies a MediaTek MT6750T octa-core processor coupled with Mali-T860 GPU. It packs 3GB of RAM and an internal storage of 32GB. It features a 13-megapixel rear snapper with autofocus and LED flash. The phone's front-facing camera packs a dual-camera setup of 8MP and a 2MP for the eye tracking technology. It runs an Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and fueled by a 3000mAh battery backup.
The MyPhone SuperD D1 can be purchased for Php11,999 and is exclusively distributed by MyPhone. It is already on sale since January 30 and comes with a free VR headset as their initial offering for the first 1000 buyers of the device.
