The Motorola One Hyper has finally made its debut, only weeks after its leaks and speculations made rounds online.
Living up to its moniker, the Motorola One Hyper is truly one smartphone that is flushed with many "firsts." These debuting features are enough to make this variant a standout from the Motorola One series that caused quite a stir in the mobile industry in 2019.
Right off the bat, the Motorola One Hyper is the first smartphone from the company to feature a pop-up selfie camera. But that doesn't stop there, the motorized mechanism, which houses a 32MP sensor, also serves as the highest resolution front-facing camera module from a Moto phone.
The Motorola One Hyper is also the first from the series to employ a massive 64MP sensor as its primary camera module on the phone's rear. It features a sizeable 1/1.7 inch sensor with 0.8-micron pixels and f/1.9 aperture. The camera is also noted for its laser-backed autofocus system. An 8MP ultra-wide sensor then flanks the 64MP primary camera of the Motorola One Hyper. Both the rear and selfie shooters of the Motorola One Hyper all sport the Quad Bayer feature, which also enables the phone's Night Vision for low-light shots.
Powering all these fantastic camera features is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 675 chipset, which classifies this device as a mid-range smartphone. The phone is then coupled with a standalone 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage; the latter can be expanded up to 1TB of extra storage via its shared SIM slot.
The Motorola One Hyper is likewise a powerhouse in the display department. It features a 6.5-inch Total Vision display with a 1080p+ resolution, alongside a 19:9 aspect ratio. Motorola opted to equip the device with an IPS LCD display, which indicates that the phone doesn't come with an in-display fingerprint reader. This security feature can be found mounted on its rear instead, which also doubles as a notification light.
The Motorola One Hyper is also the first device to emerge from the series to feature what Motorola calls "Hyper Charging." The newest charging perk boasts support for 45W wired charging, the company's fastest yet. Accordingly, it can load 12 hours' worth of battery life in just 10 minutes. The phone works on a 4,000mAh battery.
Interestingly, the said charger, which should bring in the competitive charging feature, is sold separately. A 15W charger comes standard in the box.
The Motorola One Hyper is priced at USD 399.99 (around PHP 20,300). There is no word yet as to when it will debut in the Philippines. When it does, expect its pricing to adjust locally.
