Mitsubishi Thailand has officially released the new Montero Sport Elite Edition or so-called Pajero Sport Elite in Thailand. The debut follows the subsidiary's attempt to clear the existing stock of the base variant right before the refresh.
The newest top-of-the-line, mid-sized SUV features the PAJERO SPORT branding right on the hood, with a noticeable gloss black finish on its front grille. The new edition also comes with a black roof wrap and 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels shod with 265/60-spec tires to boot. In its interior, the Elite Edition is armed with an encompassing brown leather upholstery, tinged with sun-reflective materials to keep the cabin cool. Some of the main attractions of its cabin include a stainless steel door trim and ambient lighting.
Under the hood, the Elite Edition is powered by a MIVEC 4NI5 2.4-liter turbo-diesel motor which revs up a maximum power of 181hp at 3,500rpm and 430Nm at 2,500rpm. Its motor comes mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission which is capable of driving all its four wheels via Super Select 4WD-II hardware.
The Mitsubishi Montero Sport Elite Edition also packs other notable safety features. Some of which are the seven airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), steering assist on a slope, Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), an anti-theft key system, the Forward Collision Mitigation system (FCM), and a 360-degree camera view, among others.
Currently, the Mitsubishi Montero Sport Elite Edition comes in two versions, 2WD and 4WD. The 2WD variant costs THB 1,459,000 (around PHP 2,300,000) while the 4WD variant carries a price tag of THB 1,574,000 (around PHP 2,500,000). It will be available in White Pearl and Jet Black Mica color variants.
