About Honda Civic

The Honda Civic That We All Loved

The All-New Honda's well-loved sedan has come a long way to reach its current state in the Philippines. This Civic vehicle with its new innovations and supreme driving technology that complements its sporty design. The All-New Honda Civic has a new aggressive style on both exterior and interior ends. Its stance is low and wide and its character lines are more sharp and well-defined. The new aerodynamic styling is further improved by its LED head and tail lights. For its interiors, it has a multi-information display goes back within the gauge clusters, which was new to the predecessor before. The 10th generation Civic is available in the Philippines in either the 1.8L or the new 1.5L turbocharged engine which is the RS variant. The new feature is the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) which was developed under Honda Earth Dreams Technology which delivers fun yet powerful driving experience.

The Most Popular Honda Civic

For the Honda Civic 2018 exterior, It has an all-new lower, wider stance and bolder body lines. It surely will grab anyone's attention at the first glance. The front fascia features the brand's iconic "Solid Wing Face" design with a new chrome grille bordered by automatic LED headlamps with daytime running lights. It is an identifying characteristic to differentiate itself from the RS variant, which comes with a high gloss black one. It has flowing lines running seamlessly towards the beltline which is not seen on the RS variant as well.

For the rear car, the C-shaped LED tail lights have been well reworked from the last generation's figure. It has good shoulder lines that emphasize the fastback style and a subtle touch of sophistication that makes the car beautiful with the contoured trunk lid. For its side profile, the new Honda Civic is decked with sleek 5-spoke 16-inch alloy wheels along with LED door mirrors integrated side turn signal. The exterior design gives a great contribution because of a larger size which magnifies the car's overall dimensions, the width, and length especially. Its front and back of the car boasts an elegant look due to its wide and convinced face well blending with a solid wing grille.

The Honda Civic 2018 interior also comes with a wider and bigger space compared to the previous generation. For The Honda Civic E CVT as the base-level variant, it comes as no surprise that has fewer amenities than the flagship Honda Civic RS Turbo. Just like the top-of-the-line model, it comes with a futuristic dashboard which is an outstanding key feature. The center is remarkably highlighted by a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity but it does not include a satellite navigation system. It has the full-color TFT three-pod digital gauge cluster is legible and the leather steering wheel features an ergonomic design.

The car's cockpit is sprinkled with soft-touch plastic aside from some hard plastic portions. The Honda Civic gives a comfortable driving position. It has a telescopic steering rack which is also on hand for better configuration alongside a height-adjustable driver's seat. The vehicle's cabin also receives an oddly raised transmission tunnel which strongly assists the driver to reach the switch-gear and gear lever more effortlessly. It also has an airy space for both front and rear passengers while still putting aside enough space for storing stuff like smartphones, loose change, and sunglasses, etc. For the rear seats, it is lower than those up front. It's simply because of the aforesaid fastback profile. It has a 2,700 mm wheelbase which has a great amount of legroom that will make you park comfortably. The truck is at 428 liters which is enough to occupy as much as you need. This is really a good number, but in case you need to store more stuff, all you need is to fold the rear seats down. For the safety features of the vehicle, The Honda Civic shows that safety is a top priority. It offers Airbags for both Driver and Front Passenger, Anti-Lock Brakes System with Electronic Brake-force Distribution, it also has Immobilizer, Stability Control, a Security Alarm, Electronic Door Locks, Hill-Start Assist, and ISOFIX.

The Honda Civic base variant is powered by 1.8-liter SOHC i-VTEC inline 4-cylinder engine found in the previous Civic, mated to an Earth Dreams developed responsive Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). For the engine alterations, it still delivers 141 hp at 6,500 rpm and a peak torque of 174 Nm at 4,300 rpm. Front-wheel drive system comes as standard. It is strong and powerful enough to deal with the daily city and highway driving despite not being as brilliant as the RS Turbo.

It has robust performance and higher cruising efficiency are one of the best features of the car present. It also includes an Eco Mode which provides better gas mileage. You can switch the CVT into "S" then the Sports Mode will be activated for quicker engine responses and for a more fun driving experience. The Honda Civic shows a balance of good performance and fuel economy. Thankfully, Since the Honda Civic has the CVT which was developed by Earth Dreams, the Honda Civic consumes 10.3 km/L in normal city driving. If you will be stuck in traffic, it uses up around 7.5 km/L, for highways condition, the Honda Civic will swill 17 – 17.5 km/L of fuel on average. It even has that excellent brake system. It has a light prod of brake pedal that is adequate for a quick turn or emergency stops. At a lower speed, the electric power steering system might feel insensitive but the situation will change once the car top out at higher speeds.
