Behold! Here's the All-New Honda CBR150R

Honda is known for producing world-class motorbikes. The new CBR150R looks to be promising as it features upgraded aesthetics, a powerful engine and newly enhanced safety features.

All local faithful Honda motorbike lovers out there, rejoice! The 2019 model of the CBR150R was officially unveiled during the recently-concluded Bangkok International Motor Show in Thailand.

The previous model of the CBR150R was considered to be cutting edge, and this new iteration introduces even more features that make it cut above the rest, with changes in the physical form immediately visible with its twin LED headlight setup and an elevated windscreen which gives riders additional protection during fast rides or windy conditions. The seat and the 12-liter fuel tank have been re-engineered to give riders a better feel of the bike with their knees.

The cockpit features an overhauled instrument panel with a colored display, versus the old model which featured a blue backlight. The odometer now features a fuel-efficiency readout, giving users an idea of how efficient they are with fuel mileage. The ABS variant of this new bike features an automatic flashing signal system that automatically lights up when the rider engages in hard braking techniques.

The 2019 CBR150R is powered by a 149 cc, 4-valve, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine and is kitted with a six-speed gearbox that generates power levels of 9,000 rpm and torque levels of 14.4 Nm, which is the same as the previous model.

The front forks have been upgraded though as it now features the preload-adjustable telescopic variants, making it the first of its kind in the 150cc bike class.

Currently, the Thai market has two options for this new bike: the ABS variant for THB 99,000 (around PHP 160,000), and the non-ABS variant for THB 92,000 (around PHP 150,000). The rates of these two bikes can be thought of as good deals considering their features.

The 2019 CBR150R comes in four color options in the Thai market: Black, Blue/Black, Orange (with Repsol racing livery) and Red/Black.

There's no official word yet from Honda Philippines whether the 2019 model of the CBR150R will be offered locally, but given the boom of motorbikes locally, we hope that it does become available here soon.
