HUAWEI is about to unleash yet another killer laptop in the budget-friendly segment in the Philippines.

HUAWEI Philippines has just announced that its new laptop, the HUAWEI MateBook D 15, is now slated to be launched in the country soon. The forthcoming laptop from the Chinese tech giant isn't just your ordinary, modern device as it features perks that you would normally see in higher-end, higher-priced entries.

One of these features is the HUAWEI MateBook D 15's premium aluminum design, which makes it look straight-up inspired by the Dell Inspiron 7000 series laptop. The device also features a massive 15.6-inch full HD display, one that is equipped with impossibly slim bezels.

The HUAWEI MateBook D 15 is also a powerhouse in the surprise department. The laptop is surprisingly lightweight, right at 1.63kg, despite its thicker-than-usual look over most of its competition. Additionally, it includes a fingerprint scanner built right into its power button. There's also a webcam hidden between its F6 and F7 keys, which is a nice touch for those who are very much keen with privacy.

The HUAWEI MateBook D 15 also comes with the essential I/Os. The laptop charges with a modern USB Type-C, all equipped with a 65W power brick.

Akin to Ryzen 5-powered laptops, the HUAWEI MateBook D 15 is also accompanied with 8GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM. The device also comes with a Samsung 256GB SSD and a 1TB mechanical hard drive. Users can then choose to upgrade if they know how to access its internals. There's also no warranty void sticker on them so users won't have to worry about potential issues.

Other notable features of the HUAWEI MateBook D 15 include a 3.5mm headset, 42Wh battery, Bluetooth 5.0, and Windows 10 Home. It can be availed in two color variants – Space Grey and Mystic Silver.

On paper, not even a few of the MateBook's key features can be accessed on all the flagship laptops in the market now. And that is saying something as the laptop is marketed as a budget-friendly entry.

The MateBook D 15 should settle quite comfortably in the Philippine market as soon as it gets launched as it boasts one feature that is already an instant magnet – its bang-for-your-buck formula. It's priced on HUAWEI's official website with a price tag of CNY 2,499, which translates to around PHP 18,300. HUAWEI Philippines is yet to announce the MateBook D 15's official pricing and availability in our country though, so let's wait for the official announcement for final pricings.
