Business-grade laptops are in high demand because of their small form factor, considering that most users travel a lot and need to carry their laptops around during their trips. HP is a major supplier of high-performance business laptops that have satisfied corporate and business users, and now they are locally launching their EliteBook 1050 G1 business laptop to cater to the market's growing needs.
The HP EliteBook 1050 G1 was first unveiled last year, featuring a big 15.6-inch screen with options for either a full HD or 4K resolution display panel. Considering the smaller display size though, 4K will not be of any benefit for most users, so it's still recommended to get a full HD resolution panel for laptops.
Powering the laptop is Intel's latest 8th generation Core hexacore processor paired with NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 1050 graphics chip, and there is an option to upgrade the RAM up to 32GB. For blazing-fast storage, it comes with dual SSD drives in RAID configuration. These specs are sure to give its users a very smooth computing experience, even while running the most demanding applications like video editing, running multiple applications at the same time, etc.
For audio, this laptop is outfitted with Bang & Olufsen-calibrated speakers and comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. This laptop comes with plenty of connectivity options like 2 USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt support, 2 USB 3.0 Type-A ports, and an HDMI 2.0 port, which would make connectivity to external devices a breeze and would make connecting to existing business-grade solutions easier.
For added security, there is an option to get a fingerprint scanner for biometric security, and the web camera is capable of facial recognition. There is a shutter installed on the webcam for added peace of mind. For users who are working on confidential matters, this laptop's display panel comes with HP Sure View, which works as a privacy filter preventing people from looking over the user's shoulder and seeing the screen's contents.
For security on software, this laptop features HP Sure Click, a hardware-based solution that isolates each internet browser tab and prevents malicious sites from infecting the system with malware, viruses, and ransomware. Company IT executives have identified unsecured web browsing as the biggest source of attacks, so having this feature is definitely a big plus for corporate users.
There's no word yet from HP as to which variant they will be bringing over locally as they have to balance the cost versus the features, so be sure to check back with us as we will provide the latest details as they become available.
