Quite well-balanced notebook

[Processing Speed]

It is satisfactorily faster slower than Windows.
I mainly use Premiere Element for video editing, it is not as sluggish and quicker than the Windows version.

[Graphic Function]

I can't see any sluggishness etc. at all when I process RAW images I have taken when I use Photoshop Light Room.

The USB and the SD card slots are handy

[Ease of Use]

Very easy to use. I have no real problem with it.

It's a little heavy to carry around, I carry around the external HDD with the Air, and the DVD drive therefore, if even if you are a Pro carrying them all around, they are certainly heavy.

I really like the standard usage of over 8hrs (catalog specification).

It is very beautiful not unusual when you transfer the RAW files.

[General Comments]

All over, I think it is a good notebook. A week before I bought this
I bought a VAIO S, but I don't think the VAIO will be taken out much now.

I carry it around with me outside to show artists movies so if it doesn't operate around this speed it would be difficult for me I think.
I have only just begun to use it but, I would like to gradually get to using it more and more.

One weak point I would like to bring up, I think the read speed of the external drive is much slower than the USB drive.

I know it's rather late…

Despite the trend of the retina display, I replaced MBP2009Late with this device while I wait for a non-glare Haswell (or Retina).
The below is my review which I wrote a week after I started to use it.
[DESIGN] The design is almost the same as 2009 late.
Nobody even noticed that I got a new one! Frankly speaking, I am kind of tired of the design so that I am now looking forward to a new liquid metal case that is supposed to be released.
[PROCESSING SPEED] I have used it as a remote shutter, Lr, Ps and Ai adding to its routine functions.
Of course it does not reach quad core’s performance, but i5 is doing its best as well.
It works way faster than 2009Late thanks to the 3rd cache, and emits less heat compared to my i7q (window based).
Quite satisfying.
[GRAPHIC QUALITY] N/A to an entry device.
[EXPANDABILITY] Upgraded the RAM from 4GB to 16GB; no error has occurred, but I will keep watching.
As I write out data a lot, I am thinking of upgrading it to 1TB 5400rpm or hybrid HDD.
[EASY-TO-USE] You can control both the software and hardware directly, which I think is really great.
Also, the track pad for Mac is excellent!
[PORTABILITY] I personally cannot bring more than 2 kg including my PC.
Besides, 15Retina is equipped with RAM and other parts, and a little reflected glare was getting on my nerve so I gave up bring it out.
[BATTERY] Lasts long enough as it is a new one.
Compared to 2009late, the capacity of battery is more spacious.
[LCD] I am working with LCD-PA231 at home, but it overstrains my eyes.
(I know I should not expect LCD of a laptop to work perfectly…)
[OVERALL] I decided to buy this due to the performance deficit of 2009 late, but I am very satisfied with my decision.
Also, I could buy it at a price around 60,000 yen at a retail store; this is another point I am satisfied with.
If the rumor about 13-inch Retina display, I will be sad…
But I don’t like the reflection of Retina displays, so I will use this device until a new non-glare CTO model comes out which is lighter and without a drive (ODD).

It is slow to start up from boot and sleep. Though everything else is A-OK.

In May, I bought it after waiting for so long.
[Design] It has a beautiful and mature feel to it.
[Processing speed] It is fast as is, but the rainbow circle frequently shows up when starting up from sleep mode, and it hangs up.
Though on Tiger even the HDD started up in a moment, this is the greatest dissatisfaction with Lion's HDD.
Because it hangs up when starting up from sleep mode, I shut it down all of the time.
The boot time is also slow and it hangs up once every few times.
[Graphics ability] Neither good nor bad.
[Expandability] I don't feel that it is inconvenient.
The built-in SD card slot and SuperDrive are useful.
[Usability] It is comfortable.
[Portability] It's no good.
It's heavy.
[Battery] Since it lasts for 7 hours, I have no complaints.
[LCD] Beautiful as it is.
[General comment] Having start up obstacles frequently occur is fatal.
Everything else gets passing marks.
