Display

It has a 15.6-inch screen display with multiple options of panel: LED-backlit 60Hz Anti-Glare Panel with 45% NTSC (Optional), a LED backlit 60Hz Anti-Glare Panel with 72% NTSC (Optional) with 178˚ wide-viewing angle display or an LED backlit 60Hz Anti-Glare Panel with 45% NTSC (Optional) with 178˚ wide-viewing angle display. It is capable of up displaying FHD (1920x1080) or 4K UHD (3840x2160) contents with richer, deeper and more accurate colors with the help of ASUS Splendid display technology.

Body and Build

Since it is a VivoBook Pro 15 model, is made out of high-strength aluminum material. The finish is made out of matte metallic gold. It measures 380 x 256 x 19.2 millimeters and weighs from 2 kilograms with battery. It is more comfortable to type with this series' full-size backlit keyboard with 1.4mm key travel. This also comes in a reversible USB Type-C port that makes connecting devices much easier.

On the left side, it has a USB 3.1 Gen 1 port with a USB Type-C and carries the traditional USB 3.1 Type A as well. You have the option of using an HDMI 1.4 for external displays. It is coupled with an Intel Core i7 7700HQ or an Intel Core i5 7300HQ processor and Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro operating system that gives a smooth and responsive performance. Windows 10 gives you access to Start Menu, Cortana, Microsoft Edge, Windows Store, Windows Continuum, and Xbox.

Further, under the hood, it has an up to 16GB SDRAM with 2 x SO-DIMM socket for expansion. The SSD options are 128GB/256GB/512GB SSD with Intel Optane technology. The hard drive consists of 500GB/1TB/2TB 5400RPM SATA HDD which is a good number knowing that it's one medium-priced laptop in its range. It has scored 8012 points in 3DMark 11, 289 points in MobileMark 2014, 2877 in PCMark 8, and 10.8 points in Heaven Benchmark.

It is consisting of a 3 Cells 47 Whrs Polymer Battery. It has a limited battery life which is hard to get through a full day. VivoBook Pro 15 performed up to 44% better than previous VivoBook Pro. That being said, if you like ultrabooks/notebooks that have fairly solid performance plus a metallic design/ finish then this is one should be considered.
