Filipinos love their television. It is a fact that Skyworth Digital Holdings took to their heart when they decide to jump in the local color television market. And their gamble certainly paid off considering that its Skyworth LED TVs are considered to be among the top brands not only in the country but also in the world.
First established in 1988 in Hong Kong, Skyworth had only one goal, which is to provide the people worldwide with the best digital life. Initially, the company produced TV remote controls but soon realized that it needed to diversify if it wants to be a top consumer electronics company in China and the rest of the world.
Their decision to diversify turned out to be a smart one as Skyworth managed to zero in on a very profitable market, color television. Using local ingenuity and foreign technology, the company started manufacturing high quality television units which can easily compete with foreign brands. Despite its success, Skyworth still decided to invest heavily on their research and development in order to find new ways to improve the technology which will also improve the customers’ viewing experience.
By 2009, Skyworth has managed to sell over 8 million TV sets in its domestic market and has cemented its reputation as a brand with cutting edge TV technology.
Popularity on the Philippines
Although the Philippine market is brimming with plenty of hi-tech color television, Skyworth still believed there is room for more especially for affordable brands. Skyworth took the local market by storm and it made reasonably-priced high end LED TVs available to the ordinary Filipino. Local customers can choose from a great selection of LED and 3D products which boast of High Definition images, energy efficient features, clear sound and more importantly, low prices. The company pioneered several technologies including the following:
Picture Quality – Skyworth LED backlight LCD televisions feature better contrast ration and highly detailed images in dark areas and boast of RGB colored light technology which can manipulate backlight in order to capture accurate image color.
Energy Saving – energy consumption is reduced by 40 to 50% compared to conventional televisions, which is certainly good news for Filipinos. Not only will you be saving money but these TVs help protect the environment.
Health TV – Skyworth introduces their CooCaa intelligence platform which allows customers to enjoy playing their favorite games inside the monitor.
IPS LED – this technology creates better image quality by providing rich colors at the widest angles using its LED backlight course.
Wise Connect – with Filipinos increasingly becoming digital, Skyworth made sure its products possess multiple interfaces that receive signals from various devices including computers, game consoles and digital cameras.
Skyworth understands that it needs to boost brand recognition and make sure their products are available in the market which is why it partnered with many retailers including some of the biggest appliance stores in the country including SM Appliance, Abenson and Emilio S. Lim. These stores have branches all over the nation. For a complete list of authorized dealers, go to http://skyworth.com.ph/our-retailers/. The company also authorized several online sellers and dealers. Last December 2013, Skyworth unveiled its Smart TV systems with the E69 TV at the forefront. The latest model boasts of slim form, flicker-free 3D display, and Android 4.2 operating system which allows for surfing downloading apps, video chatting and gaming. In addition to such exciting news, the company also announced that it hopes to invest in the country by building their televisions locally. This means Skyworth plans to set up a production plant which will employ locals. These Smart TV units are also available thru the authorized dealers.
