About Ducati Hypermotard
Ducati Hypermotard impresses like rest of the company's lineup
Ducati Hypermotard is a series of sports bikes designed by Pierre Terblanche, manufactured and marketed by Ducati. It was unveiled on EIMCA tradeshow in Milan in November 2005 and consequently went on to win many awards. Even though the bikes are designed to give a racing vibe, the power configuration tells a different story. This bike is capable of reaching speeds up to 125 mph, but it is recommended a lower speed limit be maintained since there is very little in terms of protection from wind blasts. Later on, the Hypermotard branched out to different parts of the world including Philippines where it received its due appreciated both by fans and critics.
Features and history of Ducati Hypermotard
This bike was first released as the 1100 model and the higher specifications were named 1100s model. The uniqueness of the 1100S lied in its low-friction durable Diamond like black color on the front fork sliders. The model remained basically same in design and in performance till 2009, then it received 48 mm Kayaba forks to replace Marzocci items, the 2009 version of 1100S came with DDA telemetry/ data logging software that was owned by Ducati themselves. In the later part of 2009, a new Hypermotard model was revealed that had lowered seat heights and a small engine with lesser fuel capacity. The Ducati Monster lent its 800 cc engine with fuel injection. Power output was rated at 81 bhp (60 kW), which is about 9 bhp less than the models that released in 2007 and 2009.
In 2013, Ducati Hypermotard received another version with a new 11-degree testastretta 821 cc engine, ride-by-wire, traction control and ABS. There is a 16 litre fuel tank and will also utilize a new 821 cc engine to leave its competitors languishing on their tracks. This model was named as the Hyperstrata and is actually a variation of Hypermotard with higher handlebars, purposeful seat and side bags.
