A slew of confirmed hardware innards of the imminent Nokia 7.1 Plus has finally emerged in the wild, courtesy of its recent sighting on the popular benchmarking site Geekbench.
The listing reveals that the Nokia 7.1 Plus or called Nokia X7 in China will be powered by the top-grade, mid-range chipset, Qualcomm Snapdragon 710. The accompaniment of the SoC is expected as it corroborates the speculations of various tech sites previously. The unit that was put through the paces of the site also shows that the device is paired with a generous 6GB of RAM. Given that the device is a mid-ranger, a lowered RAM offering is very much a possibility.
The power of Nokia 7.1 Plus' Snapdragon 710 was also showcased in the listing with scores that are all worthy of such caliber. In its single-core score, the device generates a high result of 1827 points. For its multi-core score, on the other hand, the handset manages to put out 5937 points.
The listing also shows the usual suspects of specs on the forthcoming device. This includes the latest Android operating system, Android 8.1 Oreo. And as this handset benefits from the Android One program, users should expect the OS to be upgraded to Android 9 Pie on or before the end of 2018.
The rest of the Nokia 7.1 Plus' specifications is thankfully no longer a secret. It is expected to feature a 6.1-inch notched display with a resolution of 1080 x 2246 pixels. Coupling the chipset is a 64GB/128GB of internal storage. For its camera front, the device should pack a 12MP + 13MP rear-dual-camera setup under the ZEISS branding. On its notch sits a 20MP selfie snapper. Running the device is speculated to be a 3,400mAh battery.
The upper mid-range device is also expected to feature a rear fingerprint scanner and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Currently, there is no legit info yet if or when this device will debut globally.
