According to IDC Philippines' Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker, the first half of the year 2018 showed about a 5.6% growth in smartphone shipments. We've got the top smartphone players right here.
According to the report from the International Data Corporation Philippines' Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker, for the first half of 2018, the growth of both the year-over-year (YoY) element and the average selling price (ASP) of smartphone shipments reveal that the public is more than willing to spend money on phones so long as they're equipped with reliable features and specifications. Despite being cost-conscious, Filipinos are ready to devote cash for smartphones that allow better usage and accessibility. Features like bezel-less screens, superior processors, and extensive battery life will give various phone brands a run for their money.
Among the different smartphone brands available in the country, here are the top smartphone vendors in the Philippines for the first half of 2018 according to IDC.
1. Cherry Mobile
Leading the pack is Cherry Mobile, with its affordable yet functional lines of smartphones. The brand continues to grow in terms of its unit market share although it recently suffered a minor decline, attributed to the stiff competition and intense marketing by aggressive international smartphone brands.
