Huawei P11 will allegedly come with a triple-lens rear-camera setup

Latest reports reveal that Huawei's 2018 flagship phone, the Huawei P11, will be coming with three Leica-branded cameras with 5x "hybrid zooming" technology on the rear side. It will also feature a 24-megapixel selfie camera with "low light enhancement" feature.

Huawei was one of the first phone manufacturers who immediately adopted the dual-camera trend. As a refresher, the Chinese tech firm integrated the in-demand feature on its last year's flagship device, the Huawei P9, launched back in April 2016. After that, the company has already been employing the dual-camera setup on almost all of its flagship phones down to the mid-range ones. Apparently, Huawei is still not yet contented with offering only dual-camera-toting devices, but also wants to take phone photography to the next level. That information is the gist of the latest report we have in possession.

Next year, we expect to see Huawei's upcoming flagship smartphone from the P-series, called the P11, have a much-improved camera department. In fact, the Huawei P11 is said to arrive with not one, not two, but three Leica-branded cameras on the rear part. The triple-lens setup enables the user to capture 40-megapixel photos and make use of the 5x "hybrid zooming" technology. It will feature a Pro Night Mode which ensures beautiful night shots and a Pro AI Camera Assist that lets the camera app do "instant scene recognition" and auto framing. Up front, there will be a 24-megapixel selfie camera with "low light enhancement" feature.

Reliable leaker Evan Blass took to Twitter to reveal the above information, which he claims to be from a digital artist working at one of Huawei's creative agencies who recently added the promotional materials to its portfolio. It is worth mentioning that the poster-like images have already been pulled out and are not available in their original location anymore. Adding fuel to the fire, Blass regarded the action as an indication that the information is legit. It is still advisable, though, to take this with a pinch of salt.

We'll just wait for its launch, which might happen in the first quarter of 2018, to confirm whether the P11 will have triple lens or not.
