Two weeks ago, ZTE sent out press invites for the launch event of its subsidiary nubia which will take place on October 12. Although the media invitation did not specify any device bound to unveil on that day, a slew of reports suggest that it will be the widely-rumored nubia Z17s, which is expected to sport an edge-to-edge display. By that time, there's no concrete evidence of the true nature of the yet-to-be-released handset. However, that's not the case anymore. Fortunately, we recently came across nubia's official teaser for its mysterious smartphone.
The teaser image showcased the letter "s" in the middle part, suggesting that the upcoming nubia device contains the "s" moniker. Now, what smartphone could have the "s" in its name? Of course, you will immediately say that it is the nubia Z17s. Furthermore, we can notice the number 2.1kg in one of the scales. It seems to be a wild guess, but it might stand for the 2:1 aspect ratio which the bezel-less nubia Z17s is expected to feature. There's also the iconic nubia logo as well as the announcement date written as 12.10.17, which corresponds to the 12th of October 2017. This newly-leaked information seems to solidify our belief that we will be seeing the nubia Z17s go official in two days.
In case you've missed, a leaked photo of the alleged nubia Z17s showing off the device with minimal bezels on all the sides recently surfaced out into the wild. Apart from that, the phone is rumored to arrive with Qualcomm's most powerful Snapdragon 835 chipset under the hood. As of now, there's still no leak regarding the specs and features of the handset. Considering that we're roughly two days away from the perceived launch, we can expect to know more about it in the days to come. Stay tuned for updates!
