The SNES-inspired 16-Beat headphone open for crowdsource

A Kickstarter campaign for an SNES-inspired 16-Beat headphone is now open for crowdsourcing. You can choose between a multicolor edition and a purple version as well as a standard or premium pack.

We can still feel nostalgia for Nintendo's old game consoles upon the Japanese company's launch of NES Classic Mini and SNES Classic Mini. However, it seems like the nostalgia won't end with those products from Nintendo. We came across with a Kickstarter project by Dorison Hugo, which is a headphone called 16-Beat. The gadget sports an eye-catching design and playful, SNES-inspired controls to make you enjoy your music. It is available in two color variants: a multicolor model and a purple edition. Just like the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, the 16-Beat headphone comes with the cross-shaped key and the four iconic buttons- red (functions as volume up/skip to next song), green (functions as volume down/skip to the previous song), yellow (functions as play/pause), and blue (functions as Bluetooth-enabling button) for the multicolor version while the other variant has dark and light purple buttons.

The crowdsourced 16-Beat headphone project will have its molding assembled in France, to lessen the cost and be able to offer the correct pricing. According to Hugo, the other parts will come from China, US, and Europe, with the same goal in mind. It is a Bluetooth-enabled handset, which you can also use with an audio cable, so you can receive hands-free calls and play music for entertainment purposes. Hugo claims that the headset's battery lasts up to 8 hours and it can be full-charged in less than an hour.

For the pricing, the standard pack, which costs EUR 56(Approx. 3,427 PHP), comes with a 16-Beat headphone, USB charging cable, 3.5mm audio cable, and a soft pouch whereas if you take the premium package for EUR 89(Approx. 5,450 PHP), you will get an additional headphone stand, hard case, an audio splitter, and more wires. Expected delivery is in December.

It is nostalgic, isn't it? If you are a Super Nintendo fan, this headphone would likely the one you want to have.
