Xiaomi's impending upper mid-range smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 5X, is set to launch on July 26. The press renders of the device were leaked a week before its grand launching; reaffirming previous reports stating that it will sport a dual rear camera setup.
Chinese phone manufacturer Xiaomi is reported to have a double product launch this coming July 26. The company will announce the latest in-house MIUI 9 interface and the upper mid-range Xiaomi Mi 5X smartphone at the same time. Roughly a week before the grand launching, the Mi 5X leaks in a bunch of press renders traced to be from the official website of the company. The leaked images reveal that the phone will come in three color variants, namely Gold, Black, and Rose Gold. Aside from the color options, the photos disclosed the Mi 5X's exterior design as a whole, including the camera and fingerprint sensor placements.
What we know up to now is that the Xiaomi Mi 5X will sport a metal body and come with minimal side bezels with quite a thick top and bottom bezel. The top bezel houses the speaker grille and the selfie shooter whereas the bottom one features the tech firm's signature capacitive buttons. The back panel accommodates the dual camera setup alongside the dual tone LED flash. There's also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and antenna bands running across the top and bottom edges of the device. While at the bottom lies the 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C.
Based on another leak which surfaced just last week, a poster was seen revealing what seems to be the Mi 5X's glory. The poster revealed that the Xiaomi Mi 5X sports a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The handset comes with a Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 4GB RAM under the hood. As for the pricing, it carries the price tag of CNY 1,999 or around PH 15,000.
There's only a few days left before we get to see the new Xiaomi Mi 5X in metal. But for those who can't wait to get their hands on the device, it is currently up for registrations on Xiaomi's online store in its home country.
