Realme, OPPO's sub-brand has officially released the Realme 2 and the Realme 2 Pro in Indonesia and will be available for purchase starting October 16. The Realme series has been pegged as the phones for the youth basically because of the fact that the target consumers are the young ones who are both budget and quality-conscious buyers. With these smartphone's claims of quality performance, contemporary diamond cut design style, and optimum affordability, they are definitely among the top contenders for the budget and even the mid-range smartphone categories.

Realme 2

When placed side by side, the resemblance is pretty uncanny to OPPO's phones like the F7 and the F9. The Realme 2 has a wide 6.2-inch display screen with a 1520 x 720 resolution. This smartphone doesn't run in full HD, but it fairly does the job. It also runs on a Snapdragon 450 processor that may seem a bit outdated, but still capable nonetheless. Internal storage is at 32GB and 64GB. With Realme 2's 8MP front camera, it's not really for selfie junkies. The 13MP + 2MP dual-rear cameras, however, are great for taking pictures. The phone's overall design matches the need for an easy and comfortable grip. The 4,230mAh battery boasts of a 44-hour battery life, which may seem like a pretty bold claim for the brand.

Realme 2 Pro

The Realme 2 Pro sports a large 6.3-inch display screen with 2340 x 1080 resolution. This smartphone's display has the same teardrop notch as that of the OPPO F9. It runs on a Snapdragon 660 processor and has 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM, 64GB/128GB internal storage. With its 16MP + 2MP dual-rear cameras, captivating amazing photos is something to look forward to. The 16MP front camera though won't create outstanding selfies. The Realme 2 Pro claims a great gaming experience for all the gamer-consumers out there.

Prices start at around IDR 1,999,000 or about PHP 7,000 for the Realme2, and about IDR 2,899,000 or PHP 10,000 for the Realme 2 Pro. During the launch, Realme has announced that the series will also be available in select Southeast Asian countries, including the Philippines. The exact launch and availability are yet to be announced.
