Notch-Bearing, Snapdragon 845-Powered OnePlus 6 Now Available in the Philippines

The controversial OnePlus 6 has officially landed in the Philippines with an accompanying price setlist. Will the Chinese brand's latest offering retain its predecessors' popularity?

A month after its official launching, the highly-anticipated OnePlus 6 has finally arrived in the Philippines. One of the most-sought flagship killers in 2018, the all-new OnePlus premium iteration can now be purchased through Digital Walker and the brand's official Lazada shop.

The arrival of the OnePlus 6 in the Philippines wasn't exactly smooth. The Chinese brand's launching last month was met with polarizing criticisms. It was noted that the OnePlus 6 is a proof that the firm is now veering away from its famed competitive pricing along with its top-of-the-line hardware offerings.

The OnePlus 6 comes now comes with a notch, an attempt from the company to get its flagship's display a little bigger without increasing its size significantly. The latest iteration is also noted for its glass body, a lamented switch from its already-formidable aluminum structure. Nevertheless, this finish is adorned with details only keen users can find and experience from premium devices.

Despite these, the current premium iteration from the tech giant is still expected to be feasted on by its avid Pinoy consumers. The OnePlus 6 is powered by the industry's fastest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor that is clocked at 2.8GHz. The chipset is then boosted by a generous 6GB and 8GB RAM; these RAM offerings are coupled with 64GB/128GB/256GB internal storage.

OnePlus 6 - The Speed You Need

The OnePlus 6 is also winning in the display department. It sports a majestic 6.28-inch FHD+ Optic AMOLED display, which is probably the most immersive in the competition now. Meanwhile, the latest flagship's screen is enhanced by the trendy 19:9 aspect ratio and an even more dependable Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The OnePlus 6 also houses a competitive dual-camera setup. It's armed with 16MP + 20MP Sony camera sensors at the back while its front-facing camera boasts of 16MP as well. Also, thrown in the mix are some of the most hunted features today; a fingerprint scanner, a water resistant offering, NFC, and USB Type-C.

The OnePlus 6's retail price is internal storage-dependent. The OnePlus 6 64GB is retailed at PHP30,990 while the 128GB variant has a price tag of PHP33,990. Meanwhile, the massive 256GB version is retailing at PHP37,490.
