HP Pavilion 14-n215TX review

I regret buying this notebook.

Here are my main issues with it:
1) Win 8.1 came pre-installed.
2) Most times, the wifi would report no connections detected, and I have to restart the laptop several times before it would detect wifi signals. Must be an issue with the OS since the driver software is current. But I'll only know for sure if I install win7.
3) No keyboard numlock - you will not be able to do special characters using FN + ALT + number keys. Using character map is a pain.
4) Only HDMI, no VGA connector. You'd have to buy a separate cable to be able to connect to a projector. So much for forward thinking.
5) Loose chicklet keyboard keys. The wifi key (F12) almost came off once while I was wiping the keyboard (and I'm very careful).
6) Unified headset - mic and earphone are integrated into just one plug.
7) The trackpad sucks! Even with palm guard, the pointer would be running and jumping all over the place, and would even accidentally click on things. I absolutely hate it that I've resorted to using a physical mouse instead.

The good/okay:
1) powerful enough (i5, 4MB RAM and nvidia geforce 2MB)- I was able to play newer games such as tomb raider, and splinter cell blacklist, as well as assassin's creed black flag without too much issues.
2) wide screen - if that matters.
3) 3 USB ports (1x usb 3.0, 2x usb 2.0)
4) SD card reader
6) bluetooth (I hardly ever use it, if at all)
7) camera
8) good battery life
9) DVD multidrive burner

If I could, I would buy the ACER
